MUSEUM
There are many interesting items, documents, pieces of equipment, and artifacts which inspire our imaginations to invision what it must have been like in the hey-day of railroading. That nolstagic feeling kindles the fire in us to learn more and to better experience our hobby through trips, train rides, reading, collections, and the like. The home-town depot may be the key piece of history which allows us to accomplish the goal of re-living railroading's past.
For those of us in my area, the Saint Albans, West Virginia station provides just such a venue, a home, to which we may go to soak in history. This segment will include a variety of interesting railroad items, each with its own history, theme, or particular interesting point. |
