ABOUT US
As mentioned on the HOME page, I have been interested in the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway for over thirty years. I like the "flying pumps" and pilot-mounted headlights on the old steamers. I like the tri-color passenger paint scheme. I like the names of "The Geroge Washington," "The Fast Flying Virginian," and "The Sportsman." And, I like that furry little feline: "Chessie."
I began sending articles to editor John C. Paton of the C&O Histirical Newsletter in the late 70s and later to Ted Luce for inclusion in "The Basement Subdivision" model column. In the late 80s I became the editor and in 1993 I authored the book "Modeling the Chesapeake and Ohio" for the COHS. I am currently a contributing columnst. Today (Nov.24, 2012), I accepted the position as Editor of the C&OHS On-Line Magazine. As we get rolling, I'll be begging for articles and information. |
